Akuvatur was established in aim of shrimp production in aquaculture in 1990. Developments in oncoming years directed Akuvatur to bass and bream fry production. Then, Akuvatur, starting the Mediterranean Fish production in Adana, Mugla and Izmir where it has some of the few important facilities in the world, developed new production techniques via its R&D activities. It has revealed its difference in the sector by producing the 'New Mediterranean Fish' .Today, with its 170 employees, who are experts in their careers Akuvatur has reached to 50 millions bass and bream fries production.

Depending on their life cycle of species, wild catch fish may be caught only in specific months of the year with differing quality. However, with high quality standards, Akuvatur products are ready for you 365 days and in sufficient supply your demand.
With all experience and assurance of the years, Akuvatur aims at yearly 1500 tons of production for near future. Akuvatur, with its exportation mainly to Greece and Italy continues to present Mediterranean species and premium quality fish to all over world cuisines via its precious and tasteful products.

A research, maintained in one of the pivotal science associations of Turkey, in Aegean University, has revealed that in terms of nutrition quality and taste, Akuvatur fish have similar or better values when compared to the wild catch fish ,and its documented that shelf life for these fish is 10 days in domestic refrigeration conditions.
