Wealthy Seafood Products & Enterprise (Wealthy) started trading seafood products as far back as 1973. In 1989, the owner, Mr Tay Ee Tiong set up the companys very first processing factory together with a friend. The factory processes superior seafood products like Sharks Fin, Sea Cucumber, Abalone, Fish Maw etc. With the aim of bringing these superior seafood to more people at affordable price, Mr Tay Ee Tiong embarked on researching and developing (R&D) new products. After 10 years of research, his products finally obtained production approval from the relevant national authority for meeting the stringent quality and safety standards. Mr Tay Ee Tiong named his instant food products as KING OCEAN. He then focused on expanding the products market reach and thoroughly reformed the tradi ...tional image of KING OCEAN, which resulted in a unique branding of superior seafood as instant food products. Mr Tay eventually registered an international patent for superior seafood fast food processing. This is Singapore only patent for superior seafood instand food processing.
As Wealthy has been a R&D enterprise that integrates the processing development, exploration and sales of products into one entity, and with the increased demands for instant products from both local and overseas markets, Mr Tay Ee Tiong had saw the need to set up a team to focus on sales and marketing. Thus an associate company, King Ocean Holdings Pte Ltd, was incorporated in April 2009.
King Ocean Holdings Pte Ltd was incorporated with the mission to expand The Groups market shares both locally and to overseas markets. In longer term, its vision is to value-add to the King Ocean brand to be a well known brand in every household, and also a home grown brand in overseas market. Read more
